How do I transfer my weight to the festival site?

The festival provides round trip transportation from Guatemala City to the festival site (Hotel San Rafael Las Hortensias, Mixco, Guatemala, Cordillera Cerro Alux) and from the festival site to Guatemala City according to the following information:

From Guatemala city - Festival site

​

Meeting point: Facing to Palacio Nacional de la Cultura, zona 1, Ciudad de Guatemala

Date and time: March, Saturday 30th,  7:00h

We remind you that your punctuality helps us to make the festival flow with harmony. Arrive on a full stomach or bring breakfast to enjoy on the road and share!

Return Festival site - Guatemala city:

​

Meeting point: Festival site

Date and time: April, Wednesday 3th / around 18:00h.

​

*** Weekend participants, there will be a return trip on Sunday 31 at 20:00 to Guatemala City.

If you DO NOT plan to use the bus we provide, you can:

​

  • Car driving using Waze / Google Maps to guide your trip, you can find the location as San Rafael Las Hortensias Training Center, there is enough safe parking.

  • Using public transportation.

​

Let us know if you will NOT use the transport offered by festival, to provide you with orientation and help.

What else do you need?

  • All food will be vegan/vegetarian.

  • All the necessary clothes for your stay. Includes clothing to take indoor/outdoor classes.

  • Towel and bags to keep clothes or muddy wet.

  • Small flashlight.

  • Small backpack and comfortable shoes for hiking and excursions. The San Rafael Las Hortensias Residence offers a spectacular ecological tour!.

  • Sunscreen.

  • Mosquito repellent.

  • Personal toiletries (toothbrush, shampoo, soap, etc.) Do not enter products with chemicals that may damage the flora or fauna of the place, and keep abreast of reducing your ecological footprint.

  • Water bottle

  • The San Rafael Las Hortensias Residence does NOT provide us with bedding, so you must bring an overcoat, mattress covers, ponchos, sleeping bags and / or blankets to protect you at night. We will be enjoying the cool climate of San Lucas Sacatepéquez whose temperatures range from 10°C to 30°C (50°F to 86°F).

  • If you bring valuables (cameras, ipods, mp3, jewelery, etc.), they are at your own risk. The Contact Meeting is not responsible for loss or theft.

  • We invite you to bring implements that help you prepare and take care of your body, as well as to move in fluidity (massagers, knee pads, bandana, thick socks, heaters, etc.).

  • There is no Wifi, refocus your visual stimuli :).

  • We will have a basic emergency kit, but if you have a specific medical requirement bring the medications you need.

  • Bring a notebook to record the experience.

  • For our international (or national) friends who require lodging in Guatemala City after the camp, we recommend AirB & B or Theater International Hostel. You can contact us directly to support them.
