Improvisación de Contacto Guatemala invites you to the 1st. Contact Improvisation Festival in Guatemala, which we titled 'Active Body, Social Body'.

 

This year's slogan invites us to question how we define our social contexts based on the recognition of the capacities of our body. The body constitutes a territory of meanings both for the individual who incorporates it and for the society that sees it reflected in the corporality of others; it is the vortex where the different dimensions of the human being are melted. We are proposing the practice of Contact Improvisation as this more open, more tolerant and more diverse social sphere that allows us to question the social construction of our body from a somatic and communitarian vision.
